My build was taking up too much of my workspace at work, so i have taken it home to finish.

Last week i was given a lincoln 275 square wave tig machine and i sent the control board out for repair and I've hunting down tig accessories.

New ballscrews came in. I think i have their location figured out now. My controller box is almost done.
    Hurry up and wait....

Your screw pitch is where you can gain speed 2005 is 5mm pitch this 5mm pitch is normally used for the z axes if you are going to change them get 10mm pitch screws 2010 ballscrews this will double your machine speed with the same RPM

I would have used 4" ibeam looking back now so the 2010 ball screw bearing blocks would have fit very cleanly inside the ibeam but this will have to do for now.

Got my welder repaired but I need to grab some argon from work. Made some aluminum parts. The uprights came out pretty well. It's as square as i can make it anyways. Sure moves nice and is solid even with only 4 top screws holding it together. Ready for the backplate now.

Curious about wiring this box to the motors, i found some 18awg ingus chainflex 4) wire but its not shielded..

Then i have some shielded 18awg but it not real flexable.

    Is there shieded chainflex? Thoughts?

Chainflex type cable is only needed for any cables that are in your cable tray outside your cabinet, Shielded for motors cables and spindle to VFD, inside your cabinet you can use Twisted pairs

Twist your cable like this, you can get in any color from McMaster-Carr

Getting my Z axis motor mount design figured out. My spindle is about 1/4" off of center to my gantry on the long Y axis.. I think i can live with it anyways. I can see light at the end of this tunnel..
