Since Benchtop Precision is no longer offering G0704 bearing carrier or belt drive kit, I would maybe try to make one for myself. I do not want to tear down the machine yet since it is working ok for now.
Perhaps many other users already upgraded to new belt drive kit and can tell me the dimensions of lover OD (35mm), upper OD 45mm) and the length of the original bearing carrier including the dimensions of 6 spline shaft holes on the bottom.

Also on another note.
I'm wondering if the PM25MV uses exactly the same parts as the G0704. May be worth asking around because if it is and measures up the same then you could potentially just order the belt drive bits from the PM.
Could be a difference in sizes in motor shaft though.
Hoss has a dvd rom available which may have the info you need as well.
G0704 Belt Drive DVDROM
Thank you for the info Dazp. My first thoughts were that G0704 might be almost the same as PM25MV. but I was told by tech support that the parts might be different even within the different batches of PM25MV.
Thank you also for the link above. The pulleys are mounted on the spline of the spindle which would add up more load on the spindle. I do not quite like that idea.
