    Default G0602

I have a G0602, I am thinking about converting to CNC. Just starting the research phase, and my first question is about motor and vfd upgrade. What are good options, that wont break the bank? Only requirement I have is keeping it 110v.

    Thanks
    Ed

Do you have access to a 20 amp circuit, or just a regular 15 amp circuit?

If you only have a 15 amp circuit you are mostly limited to a 1 HP motor.

Huang Yang VFD's are a common choice. If you want to avoid China, I think TECO and AutomationDirect have a few 110v options.

15 amp circuit, I think A 1hp motor should be fine for the work I am doing. Thanks for the input, will check them out.

A number of folks have already done this so search the forum for their solutions.

Some ideas from my build can be found in this post towards the bottom: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/vertic...m-posts-4.html around thread #46.

    Best Regards.

    Carl
