    Lightbulb Head to Table angel

    Hi everyone that reads this,

Any input is much appreciated. Here is what I have: I have a Grizzly G8689 mini mill. The head is at a slight angle to the table resulting in deeper cuts by the outside edge of the tool than the inside edge. This makes the work look bad and gives other non-desired affects in the work (Angels on drills, etc.) I have attempted to correct this by using aluminum sheets. I think I have 7 sheets now and I am still not where I think I should be.

How do others go about fixing the squareness of the head to the table?

    CES

    Default Thanks!!

Ah the answer and just a few more tweaks and, oh this is the information I was looking for.

I have heard of the bar method before but did not understand it due to mainly no pics.

Very cool. There might be a need for a way to control the movement but this will get me trammed in the mean time.

I thought this thread had something to do with an angel loooking over you while machining! I needed one. :-) JK

I reckon hoss has a 3 bolt mod that will fix it, the one bolt method for those mills is a woeful design.
