    Default Connect Cadet CNC Lathe

    Hi,

Just wanted to do a bit of a poll and see how many of these machines are knocking around.

Can I have a show of hands please of everybody that has one of these.

Once I know who has them I will know more specifically who to target my questions at

Then you and/or the OP might want to try a different forum for your questions since this one is intended for machines sold by the Little Machine Shop company.

The Benchtop forum might be a good place to start or run a search on the brand name and see where other users hang out.

Hi,did you ever get your lathe to run, I bought a lathe without software and was able to get it to run on an old windows 98 computer, i do have problems with offsets as the software i downloaded from a forum has left the conectl offset programme a read only programme.I was wondering if you could upload a copy of your software for me.

    regards Roy.

    Hi Roy,

A bit late but it might help.

The original DOS software runs very well using DOSBox X on a modern PC (mine is windows 10)

I have used all the versions of DOSBox but I prefer X as its easier to set up.

You can make DOS files read and write using the "attrib" command in dos or at the command prompt.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Keith
