    Hi all,

Derekj308 passed the BBQ information on to me. I would love to attend and have the opportunity to discuss my build with any of you. I have my machine part made and although it is too big to carry, I do have photos. I am in Hillside if anyone needs a lift.

    Regards,

    Albert

Okay for those of you coming, here is how to get to my place.

Head into Wattle Glen and turn into the "Wattle Glen to Kangaroo ground road". Yes I am slightly in the bush, thus the name of the road.
Head exactly 1.1Km and turn right into Lorimer road.
I am the second driveway on the left.
If you hit dirt, you have gone to far, back up until you hit the bitumen, thats where my drive is.

Sorry for not posting an exact address.

    /Michael

    Hey Salty,

What the hell are you doing, going bowling instead of having a beer and talking crap about CNC's.

I can't believe the people they let into these forums.

    Only kidding

    Hi Guys,

Would love to be able to come but am under pressure from the plumber and my lovely missus to get the bathroom ready for the next stage.

Have just pulled the old bath and shower base out and now have big holes in the floor. Really need to frame up the new bath, buy the hardware, etc so that I know where the roughing will need to be.

On the CNC front ..... my god this is indeed a labour of love. Admittedly, I have recently ripped out and replaced a large deck but I just don't seem to be able to get near to completion.

Am really enjoying what I am doing with the machine (designing and assembling Z axis) and I know it will be great when complete. I tend to make things very complicated and this is indeed a fine example.

I'm looking forward to the day when I will be able to host myself!

    Andy

Drat, imperfection has finally stopped working!!

You sure do pick the most inopportune times to have you BBQ’s.
Last one is was OS for work. (Working on some CNC machine)
This time it’s my sons Birthday and party.
If it was my misseses then I’d be there, but I can’t do it to the little guy.

Anyway hope all that attend have a fun and productive day.

    Hi Mikie,
You dont give us a time to arrive in you directions. I will be bringing my G-Rex system and its a test to see if it can survive transportation and reconnection.

    cheers
    John

Here is few piccy's taken at the BBQ today. The main attraction was Greg's machine and vacuum clamping arrangement, worked really well. There was another machine there that used a g-rex which was carted along by john. Jazz arived a bit later with his daughter. Hope you got home in time Greg and managed to miss the rain! Didn't get any pic's of the potatoe cannons!

There was a few there pic 1 has Greg, Mikie, Nigel all on the trailer and Splint and Cam on the ground. The 2nd pic has Greg talking to John. In the last pic you can see Benny

Yeah got the tarp on just before it poured down.

Another successfull CNC BBQ. Had a couple of machines on show.

John talked about his Grex. Cameron about his foundary and pattern making work.

I had a little vac clamp in action. Mike and Benny had their potato guns operating.

Weather was kind to us. We even had a couple of girls join us. Well done Pat and Stephanie.

Thanks go to Mike for once again hosting the day.

I quickly put this video together, forgive the youtube poor quality and my crap editing skills.Yes the video ends abruptly and stupidly, sorry

The day was FANTASTIC. Even though there wasn't as many people, I would say it was the best BBQ yet.

Aplologies to those I didnt include in the video, I forgot to take more pictures as the day progressed

    Mike,
Thanks for hosting another great BBQ, really enjoyed it. Greg and John who went to the effort of loading up and bringing their machines along made the day. Look forward to catching up with all at the next one.
