Default Question for Ger re : screenset 2017

    Hey G'day,

Was at mates place the tuther day, he has purchased your screen set,

First question will you be updating it for AXBB-E at any stage? From what I understand you don't support axbb-e atm.

Second question please, my mate is trying to setup for a touch plate, reading your instructions, you follow a two touch procedure?! I stand to be corrected.

I can't seem to help him nor guess what we are doing wrong, His English is almost none existent so I'm the middle man for him.

We get to the point where the tool will touch off 1 time then it travels for second touch off but keeps going, does not stop and retract.

Sat till the we hours in the morning with him in his cold garage!! He kept the odd beer and coffee going so didn't mind.

Can you please maybe shed some light on what we may be doing wrong.

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Ger G'day,

Having watched your instructional video for the xxxx time, without blinking this time LOL.. No breaks, coffee or distractions, the penny finally dropped.

What we were doing wrong was not setting Clearance Plane Z Value correctly.I heard you say in the video if you don't set this value correctly the Z will continue going down. (Penny Dropped).

The other thing we were looking for was to set for One Touch Only. That was again an audio pickup, I could have sneezed and missed it. This one was not intuitive to find "slow feedrate set to 0 = 1 touch only."

    Cheers.

First question will you be updating it for AXBB-E at any stage?

I do have a "hacked" version of the 2017 screenset that will work with the AXBB-E, but it has several limitations.
    1) The diagnostic screen is not correct, and is not really useable.
    2) The versions of UCCNC that support the AXBB-E have a LOT of new features that are not available in the 2017 screenset.

If you set up UCCNC with the AXBB-E and the default screenset, then switch it to the 2017 screenset, it will work, but you won't be able to use any of the new features in the newer versions of UCCNC.

I have been working on a new screenset for a long time now, and have been waiting for a new "official" release of UCCNC so that I can finish it.

Unfortunately, I'm in the process of buying a new home and moving, and won't be able to work on it for the next few months. But I'm hoping to have it finished in the fall (~6-8 months)

Hey Ger ty for the courtesy of a reply,

    Congratulations on your new home!!

Well my mate is extremely happy having nutted out that he can do a semi auto tool change.

I'm happy to wait to see the new screenset, not so happy trying to translate what I learned on your screenset and seeing if I can make sense of it now in UCCNC lol..

My mate only has the UC100 I won't use his copy of the screenset I'll wait till your done and buy my own license.

    Cheers and happy moving..

    Steve

Unfortunately, I've been too busy to work on it. Hopefully in a few more months.

Apologies for getting to the same question. It is just that I purchased the AXBB-E a while ago and, you know..

    Cheers, Lasse
