Default Before I put power to micro step driver I need to confirm what gnd and vcc are please

    Hey G'day guys,

Before I put power to this microsstep driver its juts a TB660.

Can I assume that by GND they mean the minus and not actually earth?

    VCC is the positive?

So from power supply I would minus to GND and Plus to VCC?

Am I on the right path?

Would prefer a none smoking smoldering path.

    Cheers and thanks in advance..

    Steve

    Hi Steve,
Yes that sounds correct. GND is used quite often to identify the negative side of the power supply (-ve) rather than Earth.

    Cheers

    One other question please...

I'm putting together my axbb-e I've never used a stepper controller before is why I'm asking.

In the axbb manual I see step+ step- Dir+ Dir- the TB660 has ENA + ENA - (I'm assuming they are not used. Then DIR+ DIR- and PUL + PUL - I am assuming the PUL is the equivalent to the step as per axbb diagram? All the STEP and DIR - are wired to the 5V0.

    cheers and ty in advance.

    Hi Steve,

Usually 5V0 means 5.0Volts. But, on the Axbb-e it is the 0V for the 5V output. So yes you are correct. The STEP- and DIR- should be connected to the 5V0 terminal.

    Cheers
    Peter.

Peter ty again - I take it the pull +/- on the microstepper is the Step +/- on the axbb diagram?

    Cheers
