hi all!,
new to this place and happy to be part of it! my interest in cnc machines particularly in milling/routers had started when i bought the "heavy mill" flat bed router from 3dtek in sydney. from assembly to cad/cam and learning the basic machining principal's as well as gcode i have taught myself the basics. i am now looking at further studies in this field or an apprenticeship. the problem is i have no idea how to get started. it doesnt seem such a popular choice of study/job. is this because this technology is fairly new for australia? as i no the USA have alot of courses in computer aided manufacturing. just seeing what your opinions are and if australia has any courses or what is the beat way to get started in cnc cad/cam machining. thanks, Ryan

I would imagine this falls under mechanical engineering? I know an engineer probably 4 to 5 years out of uni now and he uses a lot of cad / cam in his work and projects. Worth contacting local TAFEs to see what they can offer, check course guides online.
I can't see what State you are in, but NSW TAFE offers these course, in various places
https://www.tafensw.edu.au/course/ME...NC-Programming
https://www.tafensw.edu.au/course/16...ing-Technology

You can go to your nearest TAFE campus and seek out the course information counter, where they should be able to advise you on availablity.

Hi Ryan,
Feel free to contact me, what software are you using for programming your parts? I can provide training one on one or via teamviewer for popular programs. I have been training, installing, servicing & repairing CNC Router's here in Australia for many years.
Cheers Ryan
Hi ! Sorry, I can not find it here in the cnczone forum. I've created a g-code generation program (http://mcnc2.com) I can not find any topic that's okay. How can I open a new one? What do you advise? Thank you!
Hi Ryan.
Is this still available as I need someone experience with set up and training.
Cheers Les
