Just to get the ball rolling I made the daggiest screens I could.
I hope you can do better than this.

Come on guys I have seen what you can produce. Think gears, pullys, spindles, electrical puses, computers, Mach3 speed, you get the idea.
(These submissions are not entries into the competition)

Hi All:

I can see from the entries so far that this will be a very hard competition to pick a winner from. All entries look very good.
I also wanted to thank Les Newell and Marris Freimanis for their donations to this competition. The products made by Marris and Les are such a great match to Mach2&3
that I have always felt both are responsible for the popularity of the software. Great products and great support are a hard thing to beat in helping any software along its development. Both have also been instrumental in helping me with various issues along the way.
Keep up the great work, I'm really looking forward to replacing Mach3's old Mach2 splash screen with one of these entries. Keep adding the entries, and I'll make sure your artwork is seen by thousands all over the world. And if that isn't enough enticement, youll also get to use Sheetcam, and drive your motors with the best stepper controllers made.
I can already see your all much more talented than I in the area of artistic merit..

Thanks, And good luck to all of you,

Art

Well I figured the verticle might not meet the specifications, so I did a compliant one as well. Must have spilled the pain though <G>.

Picture is of one of our employees in the 1930's and comes from company archives.

Just figured I'd be a little retro with all the flashy modern graphics :-)
Just blew my Z axis stepper drive, so I REALLY hope I win at least a third of the first prize!

Many may already have done this...... If you want to see how prospective Splash screens appear in MachX's program, just exchange your choice with the original "Splash" screen located in the "bitmaps" folder of your installed MachX program directory (C:Mach2 or Mach3). Then run the program and enjoy seeing your own creation or the one of your choice appear as the program is loaded. ...enjoy!

Bloy

P.S. Remember to change any jpg's or other format pics to bmp's type files before putting into MachX's folder. Rename the original (Splash) to something else and name your new pic "splash" just as the original was.

Hello All:

What a great competition. The talent here is amazing, you guys should all start
an Advertising firm. I really don't know where to begin. The competition will end tommorrow and I will announce the winners on Friday morning.
ArtSoft will be closed for vacation from Saturday till the next saturday so I will
try my best to get the licenses sent to the winners on Friday, but if I miss anyone,
you'll hear from me on my return.
I can't pick any of these, so what I have done is arranged to pick my top ten
tommorrow night, and a disinterested third party (my wife..) will pick the 3 winners from there. It'll be a tough choice. A very tough choice.

In advance, Thank you to all that submitted (or will submit ) entries, I never expected such great artwork, and I know I'll be proud to include the winners design in
MAch3 release package. ( I will probably use the 2nd and thrid place as well as install bitmaps sop they too, will be seen by thousands of people all over. )

Thanks, again, Great and ARTisitic responce,

Art

Hello Everyone:

First, let me say this was an impossible competition to judge. The variety and high quality of the entries made
it very difficult. In the end I chickened out and asked a disinterested third party ( my wife ) to pick what she thought
would be most appealing as a splash screen to be seen each load of the program. The criteria was a sense of
professionalism, and appeal. After she chose, I had to admit I agreed. It was a very close thing. To all those who
did not place in the top three, thank you for the entries, and the thoughts. You have turned out great work, and
are well prepared for the next competion, and I suspect Les will have as hard a time judging for SheetCam.
To the Winnners, you are all so good I think I will make a special splash code to display all three in a semi
random order when Mach3 loads. The first place winner will display 50% of the time, the Second 30%, the third 20%
of the time. As I say, I like them all.

The winners are

First Place ---------- Post # 107 Red Baron.
Secnd Place ------- Post # 27(b) Jungle Boy.
Third Place -------- Post # 91(b) Chip Sweeper.

ArtSoft will be going on vacation from tommorrow , until April 9th, so if your a winner,
please contact me either today, or next Saturday and I will email you your license keys for Mach2,
Benny will arrange for your prizes from Marris and Les. Again, thank you all for participating, I am very happy
with Mach3's new Spash Screen(s).
