Hi All,

I have been replacing the bearings in my Porter Cable 7518 router. The top bearing was easy to get out and put back in but the bottom bearing is stuck in there by the collet screw. I heard in another thread that you need a pneumatic wrench to get off the collet screw.

I have all the tools, but I cannot figure out how to keep the spindle from turning so I can get enough torc to wrench off the collet screw. I know many people have done this but...... How did they do it??

Its true use pneumatic wrench to get off the collet screw.
Air operated not electric ,hold the router shaft with a rag wrapped around and wear gloves .The snap will take off the nut--works but only an air wrench
