Hello, my shop has a DMG 80P with a USB plug and we are looking at getting to work but do not know how to go about it. Any one know how to set it up. Oh and the control is a HEIDENHAIN.

Thanks

We have 2 DMU 80P machines in our shop. Is this a Mill Plus control?? If it is, then this is a MSDOS based control. I have never heared of any MSDOS support for USB. BTW the main processor in those controls was an old Intel X486 CPU. I doubt it can be done. You can always confirm this with a call to DMG service office.

hi b-rock,
to access the usb drive you should be able to find it on the program management page. look at what drives are on ie tnc, rs232, dnc links you may need to turn the usb stick on with one of the panel soft keys i think its under function.picture of a usb stick, turn it on then put your stick in. you should then be able to see it in your directory tree.We are using heidenhain itnc 530. Any problems drop me a line,
