Hi All,

I have a HF mill/drill (33686) that I would like to convert to CNC. Does anyone have any experience with using the Kepling 495oz/in 3-axis system to drive a mill/drill? Would these motors be powerful enough? I see a lot of people using servo motors for these mills but there seems to be a lot more information about stepper motors. Should a mill/drill conversion use timing belts so that the torque ration can be increased? Any other recommendations? I like the Keplings because they have individual drivers for each motor and is would be easier to have to change one driver out instead of one entire board.

Thanks for the help,
rene

Hi All,
in my previous post I ment Keling steppers and not Kepling. No one has any input on this conversion? I want to make sure I get the correct hardware. I have read that the Keling package and power supply will not be powerful enough for a Mill/Drill but I have also seen mill/drill conversions with steppers.

Thanks,
rene
