I use a carborundum stone (oilstone) for sharpening my knives and it gives great results. However, over the years the surface has become bowed (no longer flat).

Is there anyway to lap/ grind or machine it flat again please? I mean it's gotta be pretty tough cos that's what it's designed to be...

Any ideas gratefuly received. Many thanks.

Fly cut it using a diamond tip and a very slow feedrate. This can be done on any mill.
