Hi everyone! New guy here and the more I read the more confused I get. I hope someone can help.
I just put a bid on some powermax 2 steppers 1.8 degree, 200 steps, 116 oz, 1.75, 3.75v.

2= SIZE- NEMA 23
1= # OF STACKS- 1 STACK

N= NEMA
S= CONSTRUCTION-SPECIAL
X= TERMINATION- RECEPTACLE

My ? is. is this a good stepper? it has no feedback. does it matter? you can tell by the code that alot are "SPECIAL".
should this bother me?
I already put the bid in. should I go for it or just get out bid and look for something better.

You don't need feedback. Most of the specs look good, the only concern would be the winding being 'special'. Look at http://www.pacsci.com/products/step_motors/powermaxproducts.html, the Pacific Scientific site for the data sheet if you don't have it. I would ask the seller if he has tested them or knows what is 'special' about the wiring configuration.
Good luck with the auction.
