View Full Version : Temperature Calibraation Tower

Does anyone here know of a pre-written G-Code file written to correspond to one of the "Temperature-Calibration" models that are available? I know that the models themselves can be downloaded for free and setup to print these tests in some of the slicer softwares available; and I also know that there is free slicer sofware available for download but, my question remains, is there an available download of pre-written G-Code that corresponds to one or more of these Temperature Calibration models?

The slicer software I'm using is FlashPrint and if it does have the capability of setting up one of these calibration prints, I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. It would be so much easier to just be able to download a copy of a testing 3D print file made specifically for this application. I've just started looking for such a file. If any of you know where I can find it please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Just insert this gcode at intervals (10 to 15 layers). Change the temperature for each entry.
M190 S128 ; set bed temperature
M104 S250 ; set temperature

Thanks for taking the time to post your reply. I know how to edit the G-Code on my CNC mill but I don't know how to go about doing that with the slicer software that is native to the 3D printer I recently took delivery of. From what I can gather, the recent version of this "FlashPrint" slicer software no longer allows for editing the G-Code. I wasn't even able to access the G-Code that was generated just to take a look at it. I went ahead and saved the code you listed in your post in case I ever figure out how to edit this G-Code. It may come in handy if I ever decide to try yet another brand of filament. It seems that each differing filament has quirks of its' own that need to be figured out.

Since I didn't know how to do the edit thing I had to tackle this obstacle the hard way. I printed out individual sections of the "Temperature-Calibration" model each at different extruder temps and then when I found the temperature I was looking for I then did the same with the bed temperature. It was a long drawn out process but I finally got my printer printing out decent prints.
