Hi all, first post here....

Just curious if anyone has used the EDE1204 for stepper control? And if so, what other components did you use with it. Just curious as I am having a heck of a time getting a functional circuit working. any help would be appreciated.

Thanx!

Maybe someone can help me see what my problem is.........here is a link to the data sheet and an example circuit(8 npn dual hbridge)..... http://www.allelectronics.com/spec/EDE-1204.pdf

I have hooked this circuit up exactly as shown...except for the parts.....
for the NPN's i used the 2N6387(very similar to the TIP120, but capable of higher current), and for the diodes I used P600Ms. The clamping diodes were left out as the transistors already have them built in

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Zone Tyrex.
Actually I cannot help you in this matter because I am a n00b yet and still experimenting with small unipolar drivers and motors.
Keep it up though.

I found edlab web site using google. I found ede1204 data and L293D driver specs.
I am trying to prototype this same chip and run it off of kelly.
Let me know how you got it all to work.
