Needing to remove the quill on a 325, I mistakenly unscrewed the ball screw. It is rebuildable but not cost effective against a new one. I can get one from 3SInc, but was wondering if anyone here had a used one in working order??

Josh, I put fresh balls in the X and Y axis on my 325. It took a couple of tries and some coaching before I finally understood what was going on, but once you do it is really a very simple process.

The Y axis tightened up noticeably with new balls (.0002" backlash). The X is obviously the one that saw the most use as new balls didn't make any difference there (.0007" backlash).

There were chips inside the nuts, so taking everything apart and cleaning it reallllllllly well, and putting in fresh balls (basically dirt cheap from MSC) seems like a good thing to have done.

So you don't need to buy a new ballscrew and nut assembly just because you dumped all the balls out.
