I would like to disable the Automatic Tool Changer on my machine. Is there a parameter setting?
It is a 1995 YCI Supermax Max7 with a Fanuc O/ MC control.
Any help would be great.

I've spent a lot of time over the years reading through parameters for my mid 90's Max 3 Supermax with OMC control, and can't remember ever seeing something that said activate or deactivate the entire tool changer. That's a lot of mechanical position switches to turn off. Is it working so bad you never want to use it again, or you want it off temporarily so you can do work on another part of the machine? Obviously you could write all your programs without M6's or T's. Even if you disabled some relays and unhooked the motors, the control is going to be looking for a number of switches going high or low when an M6 is called, and if it doesn't see them it will either sit there waiting or alarm out. Anyway... good luck with this one. It's beyond me, other than like I said, I don't think there's a parameter for this.
