Supposed there is a motor with these specifications:

6 volts, 1.2 amps/phase, 1.8 degree/step

How do I calculate the torque?

Is there a mathematical formula that I can reference to?

Thanks

I don't think you can calculate it. To many variables. It's around 60 oz-in.

Some have made a gadget to figure it out. Powerup the motor, put a 1" long stick on the shaft horizontally, hang a little bucket or bag on the stick, add weight till it slips. The amout of weight is the oz-in of the motor.
