Hello to everybody

Who can help me out? We have all our CNC machines connected to our home network to carry out data backups, 840c-840d controllers.

It all works well apart from one thing: we can’t save current programs that are being processed- they are invisible for us....mad.gif

How can we save them automatically from our network Pc, because exactly the current programs are very important in case of a data loss as the others are unloaded anyway?!
There must be a possibility to save them without much effort- I mean one can do almost anything with Siemens controllers.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Kind regards

Have a look in the manual wink.gif

I guess you’re talking about controllers with hard disks coangry.gif ??
The current programs, meaning the ones that are currently being carried out, are saved in the NCK.
Only the user of the machine has access to these files. The access to the NCK from the network is not possible due to security issues.

So if you want to save these programs and files, then you have to copy them on the controller and save a copy on the network drive.
