So i picked up a 6x12 dynatorch table with slats and gantry, everything from the haress back was stolen at one point, (no motors, harness, computer/software ect) I want to figure out the most cost effective way to get the table back to operational.

first we need to know what your time is worth?
The cheapest method will cost you a crapload of hours.
Other methods will have you cutting profitable parts in days or even hours

You can buy accessories directly from dynatorch but we need pictures of the gantry to see exactly what your missing, I assume the frame is good and straight and the gantry rolls ok

Well time isn't necessarily a concern if it comes down to saving alot of money. Buying direct from dynatorch would probably be the least cost effective. Once I get the table setup (picked it up yesterday) ill be able to get some pictures.

A lot of people mess around buying surplus stuff off ebay, etc.
I suggest you look at ready to use kit from http://www.candcnc.com
I have a new Dynatorch XLR8 so I didn't build mine.

I must say that is quite a "pick up".. you have a lot there.
You need a plasma cutter with machine torch,
from what I can see you have the gantry harness, you need motors, torch holder, dynatorch controller configured to match whichever plasma system you decide to use.
You need compressed air for cutting and also to supply the air tensioners at each motor location.
You need a computer to run it all.
You also have the pipe cutter attached which requires a motor if you decide to use it.
You should consider dust collection.
You need to spend some money but it seems like the table is in great condition. I also have a 6x12 system, it is a good size for me.
I would start with Dynatorch and see what they can offer for a plug and play motor package? Their software is great, otherwise your going to need lots of free time, good luck.

Well you would never believe what i paid for it.. lol
I already have a hypertherm 1000 ready to get to work (I own a custom automotive business) so that part is taken care of..

I think I understand the components I need, I would just like some insight on the most cost effective brands to integrate onto the table if you can mix and match.. I have the time, the money part is the issue when it comes to 10s of thousands.. lol. I don't really know what the cost would be to get her goin again, other than a few numbers a couple buddies have mentioned.

Also, the harness needs replaced, it was cut in more than one spot when everything was stolen from the warehouse. So the harness is useless im thinking.. I know how to repair it but I don't really think its worth the time to cost formula.

I want to get this thing going so i can start cutting full frames and brackets.

After talking to a Dynatorch rep, its seems like most companies. They want to sell me everything they have.. lol. They want me to purchase a full new drive system, gantry included.

figure out what size motors and gear reducers you're gonna need, and look at Automation direct for these parts. They're really well priced and good parts. Then hook it up to Mach3.

Got 2 quotes from dynatorch... 13k for the XLS series drive system with their computer, stand and motors.. basically everything to get it going.. they use 200w panasonic servos for that system.. 20k for the same thing but with 400w x and y servos and 200w z. all with 5:1 gear boxes.. I feel like thats a bit ridiculous, price wise. Any input from you guys would be great. I have the invoices/quotes for you guys to reference if you want.
