I'm a newbie so be kind. The maker of my router has a xml file that has the setup for Mach software. How do I apply this file to Mach. I have placed it in the root of Mach but what does that do. Do I need to do something else with it.
Thanks

It depends on the name of the .xml

the .xml contains all the settings for your configuration. You can have multiple configurations, for different machines for example. Each configuration will have it's own .xml file.

When you install Mach3, you should get 3 icons on your desktop. Mach3, Mach3
Turn and Mach3Mill.

The mach3MIll and Mach3Turn icons start Mach3 with their corresponding .xml files, which are specified in the path. Something like this:

D:\Mach3\Mach3.exe /p Mach3Mill

In the example above, Mach3Mill is the .xml filename.

So, you can either create a new icon (shortcut) and specify the .xml, or, you can start Mach3 with the mach3 icon, which lets you choose which configuration to start with. The .xml file you placed in the Mach3 directory should appear in the list when you start Mach3 this way.

Thanks that opened the door. Now I don't know what I'm looking at but I'll keep reading.
Thanks
