Does anyone have a problem with air leaking constantly from spindle ?

I think it is supposed to leak a bit of air, mine always has... The techs at SS can probably tell you why, or HSD.

From the HSD manual:

When the machine is powered on, presssurized air must be delivered even when the electro-spindle is stopped, to prevent dust and dirt from the machining area from entering the electro-spindle.

With the spindle stopped, make sure that there is uniform flow of air around the spindle shaft (pressurization air). If there is not, check the compressed air circuit and connections.

I have had it since 2009. I don't use it that much (it's for personal use) but I love it. Once we got it going, which took several months and a mech replace (long story, but in the end SS did the right thing), it has been working like a charm. I mostly use it for the occaisional cabinet and signs and cutting corian. If you are just getting started, hang on to your hat, the learning curve is steep.

Just had mine delivered three weeks ago . I'm still working with it. Machined my fist cabinet door yesterday. Came out not as I expected but after tweaking the program a little we may have it. It is a little different and there is allot to learn. Had some issues but ss has taken care of them.

I've had mine for about 6 months now and I find it's getting easier all the time and I'm getting much more efficient in my thinking - cnc has forced me to think differently to common woodworking problems/tasks. I still can't believe how much of a game changer this thing is...
