I am creating a sign for a friends mother and I am having a problem. From the picture you can see that I create a box around the praying hands(to same time)and carving the hands inside the box and vcarve the verse on the other side. From the photo attached you can see that it leaves a little material at the bottom of the box.

2 questions:

* How do I setup my toolpath's to remove this material?

* I want the edges of the box to roll onto the other surface but from my preview it's machining hard edges.

3d roughing with .25 end mill upcut
3d finishing with 1/16 tapered ball nose.

It's faster to do the roughing with a regular endmill, and the flats come out better too.

To get the roundover on the edges, I guess it depends on what software you're using...
