I bought a cheaper mill off ebay and once I got it I started using it I started thinking about converting to CNC. I have made a parts list, got the software ideas but my determining factor at this time and the hurdle that I want to figure out first is mounting of the stepper motors. I dont know how to do that correctly, I have looked at some ideas online and have some ideas but I dont know how rigid it needs to be. I use the mill for cutting mostly fiberglass but a little aluminum and a smaller amount of steel. This is the mill, if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear or see a picture or a description.
