Hi, How I could chose single areas to generate the paths with different tools?
So I would like to scrub area 1 with different tool as area 2 in enclosed picture. How I could this realise?? Is there a tutorial or video available to show this in detail??

Hi KSpatz,

This is easily accomplished using region curves. Just create a closed curve around the area that you would like to isolate. Then create your toolpath. Do the same thing for the other area using a different tool. I will attach a couple of pictures which should help.

Hope this helps,

Dan

Hi Dan,

thank you for fast reply and help!
It works, but I have failure on one edge. Do you have explanation for that (see picture). Must extruded curve bigger as original?? Why don't follow the curve in the red marked area??

Hi Kspatz,

Let the cutter come off the block in that area. You can do that by expanding the region curve a little. I will attach a picture to show the results. You will notice that the stock size will change to suit the new region curve (not shown in my picture). In this case I just simply offset the curve a little more than the radius of the tool.

Does this help?
