Default Alphacam V5 basic steps for machining

Trying to help out a friend who lost his memory due to a B12 deficiency and can no longer remember how to use it.
Ive imported a solid model of a guitar case but Im baffled how to get it to machine it .
Ive picked a tool but the pocketing operations are greyed out.
Ive worked on many CAD/Cam systems but this seems the least intuitive. What are the basic steps to get it to machine a pocket.

Did u pick the tool direction? You are correct about less intuitive. Tool direction will be a completely different step in alphacam.

the 2005 version doesn't have a very good interface but the process is the same as the current 2021.0 release.
Pick a tool>Feature extract the solid>Apply the toolpath. So not many clicks to get a toolpath done. Very user freindly compared to other advanced professional CAM systems where you need a machine configuration before you even get going.
