Question 32 bit vs 64 bit

From what I have read thus far, it appears I have to specify 32 bit, which I assume my machine uses now, with Windows XP Second Service Pack. (Don't get me started on that)
We are rebuilding our entire shop infrastructure to use Alphacam.
When we buy new machines, they will probably uses 64 bit.
We want to do our homework before spending on the licenses and get it right.
Will we be able to use the same system to program and send to our machines?

I'm not an Alphacam user, but according to this page Alphacam supports 64 bit CPUs / systems:
