alphacam programming of STL file

Can someone explain how to cut parts straight from stl file in alphacam? Not surfacing.

1. prepare stl ( move to correct x,y)
2. apply volume
3. apply rough or finish

if you dont understand,,please post the stil and i will apply a tool path
