Default Getting the most out of your 3d scanner

Well, Im a newbie at this.

Have just got my new machine its a laser scanner mounted to a cnc router table, you scan image as the laser head transverses across the bed

Its all calibrated and up and running by the supplied paperwork, but am a bit disappointed in the end result so far. Im pretty sure its me or I need to somehow finess my calibration or setup.

Does anyone have some good tips for alternative programs that will drive the scanner and input.

    What results are you achieving
