Description: The DeskCNC 2nd Generation Controller utilizes a microcontroller to perform the timing and interpolation functions for smooth operation under Windows.
Runs smoothly on any system that can comfortably run Windows (95, 98, Me, XP, NT, 2000).
Fast Block Processing when machine is running (over 300 Blocks/Sec).
True Linear Acceleration Ramp (programmable) throughout the 60 - 125,000 SPS range.
Any Accel Profile is programmable.

True 4 axis interpolation.
-2 Billion step Absolute positioning.
230 move First In/First Out Buffer.
RS232 Intelligent Controller running at 115K Baud.
Continuous Motion Contouring.
Mist, Flood, CW, CCW, AUX1, AUX2, and AUX3 outputs.
PWM Output for Spindle Speed Control.
Single Channel Quadrature Encoder input.
Flash reprogrammable firmware updates.

Requires 9 pin Serial Cable.
Requires 9 Vdc external power supply and enclosure.

Pros: Easy to hook-up, compact size
Cons: does not always initialize

The board is easy to set-up and must be used with Deskcnc software. I have found that a few times the system would crash in the middle of maching and requied me to turn off the software and re-launch it.
