Dead website with blank home page. (Hope they don't use the same programmer for both the product and the website!)

Hi folks, I am new here. I am looking for small CNC machine and this one (KC-1414) looks very much like what I need. Could you, guys, please tell me what comes in the kit? In other words what should I add to it to make work? How much is it? Thanks!

I hope you don't mind me adding my $.02 onto this review, but here is a link to a thread I started about my TTS as well. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55939 I bought the manual machinist kit to start as well, 4 more drill chucks, 8 - 3/8" Endmill holders, and 2 - 1/2" endmill holders. Productionpal, Inc. has decided to give a 10% discount(indefinitely) to all registered CNCZone members who mention this review- on top of any manufacturer promotions offered! I enjoy being a member of this community and want to show my appreciation towards the many here who help others with absolutely nothing to gain themselves...other than a warm-fuzzy. "Keep your TOOL Cool" - to quote my supportive wife. LOL! Her contribution to the sales effort...

Excellent job on this review Bill! When I first became a member nearly a year ago, no one seemd to be aware of this evolutionary product. I begged for some courageous company or pioneer to check this option out. It is pleasing to see some interest starting to generate here on CNCZone and hopefully people will start see its benefits and support this USA company that other Countries have tried to buy out. Again...great job! In addition, feel free to check out the review Singlephase has recently posted about SpiderCool here in the Milltronics section.

The New model of this machine comes in a wooden box. For the a great price you get reliability, accuracy, peace of mind, and satisfaction gaurantee. Comes preassembled 98%, with shaft and multi contact bearings that are sealed from dust. New design has more al mass, uses anti-backlash Kerk® leadscrews & nuts, uses 275 oz/in stepper Nema 23 motors. There is flex on the shaft when using excessive feeds. But at times even your bit will bend on excess passes on bigger machines. Doing a finial pass with small cuts will get you accurate cuts and better finish. At times you are still limited to the physics of the bit dia, material, depth of cut, angle of bit, and more. This is a light duty machine but customers have made guitar bodies and inlays with this machine (with addtional options). K2CNC

I have spider cool installed on 2 machining centers. One at my full time job and one on my own personal machining center. The spidercool kits arrives very well packed and includes all of the items necessary to complete the installation, Cable ties, cable tie mounts, hose barbs, plumbing fittings, shut off valves, auxiliary loc-line nozzle, etc. And did I mention that it was very well packed? It must take them an hour to pack every kit, I was very impressed! Installation was straight forward and the included instructions were easy to follow and the interface to the machine was easy with the machines schematic. The people at SpiderCool are the best, they make a great product even better by providing great customer service and support. They are truly nice people to do business with. After installation, use of the system very simple, just \"set it and forget it\" to steal a line from the infomercials! I find that I like to use the auto drill cycle with end mills as well as drills as it helps get coolant to the tool even when its hidden behind an obstruction. I mainly do prototype work in very small quantities, but we find that the tooling lasts much longer than it did when we were adjusting coolant lines (or not bothering to adjust them) manually. I don\'t go home smelling of coolant anymore, my clothes are no longer stained from the coolant either. Also, im not continually replacing loclines because they became damaged during a tool change (umbrella type tool changer) or were rubbing on the next tool and were not re adjusted. I must admit that I had sticker shock when I first found the spider cool. I decided that it was just too expensive and that I would have to deal with the loc lines. A couple weeks later while adjusting loc lines with spindle running one of the drive dogs smacked my wrist. I was lucky, I wasn\'t hurt I started thinking that the price was not bad considering the lost hours an injury may cause. Just think of the potential for injury on some of the larger horizontal machines where the operators must enter the enclosure to adjust coolant lines. As an employee, I am grateful that my employer allowed me to install the spider cool as it makes my job much easier and more enjoyable. As a shop owner (even though very small) I not only benefit from the increased comfort and safety while running my own machine, I also enjoy the reduced costs because the tools last longer I took pictures of the kit and the installation on my personal machine, you can see them at www.grifftek.com/images/spidercool If anyone has any questions, Id be happy to chat with them, you can reach me at bill@grifftek.com or on my cell at 562-477-2054
