Bridgeport retrofit control panel Geckos
Last Comment Posted Bridgeport retrofit control panel Geckos
Update,
The gecko was found to have an intermittant. Thats the good news as I was a bit worried the existing superior motor would be a problem for the Gecko driver.

For those who are thinking of retrofiting the electronics here's some of things I did to save cash. Reuse of lower right transformer as described in my other photos. Reuse of the terminal strip, power box moved to side of mill, reuse of 3 phase contactors and rewire of fwd/rev switch to directly drive contactors, reuse of caps (3) 5000uf + (1) 22000uf caps. I checked the caps to make sure they were'nt dried out. Nothing fancy just put 12v on and confirmed they would light a 12v car bulb...

Good luck if your doing your retrofit. Kevin
