It's the profile of the 8080 extrusion that's causing the problem, not the table extrusions. The tables don't have that "drop lock" feature or whatever it's called.

I think I'm going to use the t slots after all. Thanks for the great idea! (good thing I procrastinated this update)
The tops will only now be attached with angle, i wont be machining any more of the tops ,

Also you have to square spindle plate to spindle then square spindle to table

The difference is the railing , Viper machines have round rails, and Raptor machines have profile rails

    A short delay

    Apologies for being away friends.

We're in the middle of renovations to sell our house, so it may be a couple months before I post more for this project. Busy, busy, busy.

As soon as we're settled, I'll pick up where I left off. I'll give updates in the meantime.

    Cheers!
    Mike

    Getting Close

I'm about 3 weeks away from starting work on my cnc again. We didn't end up moving, but the boss has me doing renovations.

Looks like Xzero threads have been very busy, it's great to see! Can't wait to get back at it.

Ahhh, renovations, the cause of most divorces I'm sure

Good luck with them Mike, I'm sorta 1/4 (in my mind anyway) the way through my own (severly underestimated) renovation, so I don't envy you! I find no matter how it looks on paper in the planning stages, it ends up taking at least twice as long and three times as much money

But, what else do you do?

    cheers,
    Ian

    Stop The Madness

Note to self: Travel back in time and tell yourself not to renovate three houses in a row. Especially the last one, the one with three accessory buildings and wiring from the late 70s. Turn the car around, and drive away. Don't look back, just drive.
    -------------------------------------------------
That saying about renovations destroying a relationship, is true. If you're not careful, they'll just consume you, they'll consume everything you have. We've put the breaks on, and skidded to a stop before it was too late. Anyways...

OK! Now that I've got that out of my system, I'm going to attempt in the coming week to pick myself off the ground and start where I left off. Maybe just work on smaller things to start off with.

    Maybe start tonight...
