Build Log - Demon 56x65" Xzero CNC - Vacuum Hold down table -
This is my second machine purchased from Xzero CNC. You cant beat the price and quality of these machine frames. Everything is solid 1 " 6061 aluminum and machined to extremely tight tolerances. I literally assembled the entire frame by myself in one days work. Its just nice when everything fits together perfect and you dont have to fight with adjustments or shims. Moving forward, here are some pics of the build process thus far. I will be adding more details in the coming days.

That Z axis! 7.6hp china VDF in the bg.
7hp Vacuum pump - Regenerative Fuji Electric - Should be good enough?
Re: Build Log - Demon 56x65" Xzero CNC - Vacuum Hold down table -
Its been a while since I posted on here. Things have been a bit crazy for me lately, i will spare everyone from the details of that. Moving forward, I have been using the machine for the last 9 months or so and here is my report on this so far. When I purchased the machine I was using 650 in-oz steppers motors on all axis(2 for the x? long axis). Since my machine came with 25mm pitch X ball screws I have had to upgrade the motors from 650 to 960 in-oz motors. No more stalling!
Items to report
None so far, machine is still working great with about 10-15 hours per week of use.
I've had a few ask about accuracy, although I have not ever measured with certainty the corner to corner accuracy of the machine, I can say this; I can cut a sheet of 1/2 mdf in a single pass only to find out I didnt cut deep enough through the material. Fear not, run the same program again with a slightly deeper Z and the machine hits every spot exactly as the last pass did. Basically no deviation from the last pass.
Hopefully I can be more active and update with some more pictures.
