    Xylotex driver problems

Hey everyone. Me and my CAD teacher are setting up a desktop CNC mill system. We are using a Taig mini mill, xylotex 4 axis driver board, mach3 and madCAM software. We had everything hooked up and running correctly and were in the process of fine tuning everything to start using it to actually making stuff, and I tried to run it with my laptop with a PCMCIA parallel port adapter and it didn't work correctly. We plugged it back into my teachers desktop and it worked fine. Then the next day, I turn everything on, and only the X axis runs. The Y and Z motors make a faint buzzing sound and further examination showed them getting very little voltage. I know its not the motors or wiring between the board and motors because I've tried all different combos. Known good motor to bad driver-doesn't work. non-working motor on one driver to known working driver-works.and everything in between.
Does anyone know whats happening? I've emailed Xylotex and they said it might be overheating, but its not. When it was running, the heat sinks wern't even getting warm. Please! this is driving me insane!!
    TaylorN.

What is your power supply voltage? Sounds like you may have blown the 3977 chips for those two axis. You could try hooking one motor to the 4th axis.

pminmo, power supply is still at 25V, I tried hooking up multiple motors to the 4th axis and the same problem exists. And I did configure everything in Mach3 so the 4th axis was functional.

Did you do anything between the time it worked and the time it didn't? Like disconnect a motor or rearrange wiring? SInce the chips have heatsinks, you probably can measure pin voltages? if you could, I would suggest you look at the setp and direction pins and jog in Mach3 and see if you see level chances.
