I almost have my control system completed and I fully powered up the Xylotex 3-axis board for the first time yesterday to test the the stepper part of if it using some small Vexxa motors I picked up, strickly for testing. I used the Master5CNC demo version for my testing since this is the program I pretty much have decide I will be using in the end since it has all the features that I want to use on my machine. All the testing went fine, without a hitch but now I have decided I want to be able to "Enable" and "Disable" the motors with the software and for this I need to build a circuit but have no idea what is the best method of doing this and could use some advise.

Has anyone else built this circuit for their system, how did you do it and what parts do I need to get? I am assuming I need some type of low voltage, micro relays that will be triggered by the computer through the parallel port.

Now I want to Enable all motors at the same time and I do not need to have control of each motor individually.

Having the enabling done through the computer allows safety features of the software to work as they were intended.

Any help anyone could provide would be great.

Thanks,
Carl
