Hi,
I was just wondering if you can convert your set up of a CNC wood router and use it as a CNC foam cutter with the Xylotex Driver? Does it have anything to do with the driver in the first place? Or is it just software?
Thank you very much for your time.
I really appreciate it.![]()

Thank you very much.
A CNC foam cutter is 4 axis. As long as you have a 3 axis card and one separte axis, or 4 separate single axis cards, you are OK.

Would it be possible with just 2 axis? And possibly use two motors per channel on the board? The current would probably be cut in half, but a foam cutter does not need that much torque anyway, I think?
Thanks.![]()
not sure about that, and you would only be able to cut constand chord wings if it did work.

does your machine plan on using a hot wire string or shapped wire or routr to cut with? we are trying to get a shaped wire head to cut foam and its been a tough haul.
