I have a 4 axis xylotex box, running a tiag. Every thing had been working great for about a year. Then nothing, the steppers did not lock when the box was turned on. Then I noticed a clicking noise, so i took the top of the case off, and found a red led blinking. The clicking noise is coming from the power supply. The fan is not on turning so I took a voltage reading at the power supply output and it is about a volt. Then I noticed that the A axis drive chip is really hot while the other three are cool. Any ideas? |

| Your A driver is shorted, probably from either an internal short of the A motor, or wiring problems. Xylotex can replace the driver for you. I had the same problem, and had traced the problem to the motors shorting out when they warmed up. |
