Hi all, Looking to build my own controller with parts from Xylotex. I am thinking of putting in 4 of the single axis bipolar drive and connect that to a break-out board. Similar in style to the Gecko drive. Can this be done or I might as well just get the 4 axis bi-polar drive? Will the individual single axis board give me 2.5A of power for each motor? I have very little knowledge about electrical stuff so tell me if this is silly. http://www.xylotex.com/1axBoard.htm Thanks. Alex |

| They are unipolar. Any diff between that and the bipolar xylotex? It is cheap. The amperage rating is 3A per axis, is that good? Seems better than what xylotex and StepmasterNC is offering. I believe theirs is 2.5A per axis. Correct? The thing I like about Xylotex is that they offer the motors and all the connecting cables plus the power supply. So basically, I get the whole package. With Hobbycnc, I have to search for the other parts needed and I am not even sure which other parts I need. But it is cheap. So basically I am confused. |
