Arrrggh! I just blew my xylotex board

I have had my board down more than I have had it running. I don't know what the problem is. I have to send it back again this week. I bought the same thing you did. The motors and board. I really don't like the way I had to search all over for the directions to install the board. Did he send you any paper work or just the one that said that the motors were wired for you?

Yeah, that's it. In your picture their numbered from right to left, 1-8, right? The first motor in your picture has one of the A wire mixed up with one B wire (not sure of the right terminology to use for this). That's the problem.

i think he should have included a connection diagram.

i sent him 2 emails yesterday (jan. 3, 2004) asking how to check my motors. this is what he sent me.


The easiest is to make surre that there are no shorts to case. Simply
touch one probe to the case then check each pin for continuity.

The next you need to check to see if wire are shorted together. I
measured 1.2 ohms (as good as my meter can get anyway) between 1&5,
2&6, 3&7, and 4& 8. All other measurements should not give a reading
(i.e. infinite ohms).

Probably there are no problems with the motor, but best to be safe
and check.

I checked my motors and per your photo, they are wired like the two on the right. Green White Black Red.
