    making a control box...

I have made a nice looking control box, with future drives in mind. (keep this in mind when i post pics later with a fuse for each axis) I know jack squat about microelectronics, or electronics in general. I want to first get it running, then hook up LED's to each axis so it looks cool when running. I also want an E-stop, and limit switches. HOw the hell do I go about wiring all that up? Someone please hold my hand for this.

    THanks.

you aren't supposed to put a fuse between the motors and the drive. you will burn up the drive that way if the fuse pops. you can put on fuse before your power supply that runs 120 VAC to protect the whole system but thats it.

yes, thanks, i went ahead and put them on the panel, so when I go to gecko drives, they will be there for each drive. Like i said, i don't know squat, but i did figure that out on my own.

Might want to check out our Mini-IO board (direct Xylotex interface) and the optional Port 2 plug in card. The new 20 function pendant works with the port 2 card and MACH3. You can also use the card to build your own control panel with rotary handwheels and functions buttons.

Thanks Tom, I will check it out.

Bear, I have read many, many, many post on the forums. Even with the search function, i was unable to find exactly what I was looking for.

Do you (Bear) always answer a question with a question? Do you know that there is a spell check feature?
