    Electronic idiot... motors twitching

I just built the Solsylva dual screw. I am using the Xylotex 3 axis 269 oz kit. I am mechanically inclined so that all went well, all axes move smoothly. I hooked up the xylotex board, read instructions for Mach 2, and get nothing but a whirring noise and fluttering motors. I thought I had the vref's set right, but as mentioned, I am an electronic idiot! I don't think I am using my cheap multimeter correctly... I thought I had the voltage right, but the voltage changed drastically with very little pressure on the screwdriver (in the blue dial thingy).

You can imagine my excitement and anticipation as my project nears completion... this is very frustrating!!! Please help.

Try slowing down the acceleration and velocity in the motor tuning screen.

    No luck yet

Thanks for the reply ger21, but that didn't do it.
Is a 10ft paralell cable too long?
My motors don't lock up when I power on- they just get a bit stiffer... should they lock?
What should my meter be set at when testing the vrefs? (this is the embarassing question, I've read alot of posts and no one asks this- I apologize for my ignorance)

    More whining

I turned the blue thingy up more... (I know, not too smart) because I'm impatient. The motor locked and I could jog it! The problem is the multi-meter went over range (showing 1.) so I don't know what the voltage is!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHH

    Help
