Xylotex - Which wire for motors?

    Hi,

I'm about to wire up the 3 axis driver and the Nemo 23 motors I bought from xylotex.com. What gauge of wire and type should I use between the motors and the driver board? Also strand or solid is best? I was thinking of some 18 gauge stranded wire.

    Just wanted to check first!

    Thanks,

    Warren

Machine control wiring should never be in solid strand, and especially if it is where the wired object is moving or subject to vibration.

Thats a good point! I was looking at the wires of the Nemo 23 motors and they look small like 20 or higher gauge. I think 18 gauge will be fine.

18 should be fine, with as many strands as you can get, and preferably shielded.
