    Arrow Issue with new setup

I just finished wiring up my Xylotex 3 axis kit and have run into an issue.

In testing the setup with the motors not hooked up to my machine I found everything to be good. So I hooked up just the X axis motor to my Taig mill and after about 3 minutes of so the motor just stopped working. No pop, fizzle, smoke or anything. I can hook any motor up to the Z and Y and they work fine but none work on X. It also does not "Lock" the motor.

I am using Mach 3 as the controller. I also checked the Vref points after it quit and it still shows 3.42v. How can I test the drive for output to the motor? What do you think could have happend.

Thanks in advance for the help guys, this forum has been great!

    Mike

Have you tried swapping the x motor out with one from the y or z?

But did you actually take the Y or Z axis motor and put it on the X axis to see if it still works. They you can eliminate whether the X axis motor is bad or your controller for the X axis.

YES, all three motors work when plugged in to Y or Z, none work when plugged into X.

    ITS NOT THE MOTORS.

Doesn't sound good. Email Jeff at Xylotex and see if he can fix it for you.

I don't know what happened, but I had my X axis go out once. (my fault) I sent the card back to Xylotex and he repaired it for about $11.00. I'm not sure if that's still the going rate though.

Email Xylotex directly and he responds pretty quick.
