X3 Motor Controller fried - what are my options?

After many hours of use my X3 motor controller board puffed some smoke. I'd rather not pay $200-250 for a replacement.

What are my options? What have others done?

    Just found this board here.

Also through some searching found cheap treadmill boards work also. Any experience with those?

Thats pretty funny. A fellow member on this board I used to work with had a spare KBIC125 board and thats what I replaced it with. Works perfect.

    Up and running!
