    Thanks for the images. Good idea. I may ask him to send me the extra mounts when I order from cncfusion. Did you mill out the recess entirely or rough cut it and then finish it with the mill?

    Also what are the 4 holes in the sides of the spacer?

    Lastly I teach photo and digital photo and your images are very good. Excellent focus and lighting. Clearly show what you wanted them to. So don't knock you photos too hard I wish that all my students coming into the class had your photo skills. They would be a lot farther ahead.

    I just hogged it all out with the mill, the extra holes are for the stainless cover for the Y stepper

    Never mind, I went back and looked at the images on cnc fusion's site and saw that there are the cap screws installed in the pictures of the parts. So.. Did you loosen the piece to get the cap screws in?

    Scuba steve did you get this question answered?

    I found the same situation this evening as I was installing the Z. When I stopped to think about it I figured that you don't need to bolt that part in since it will stay in contact when lifting the head and when lowering it the weight will again keep contact..... In theory..... But I worry about lash?
