    XMT-1160 Controller Help

    Guys,

Can anyone please help. I ruined my second controller. The controller no longer controls speed. It runs at full speed. The rheostat tests fine. This is the second time it happened and I had to replace the board to get it working again. Is there something I can check on the board or does someone know someone who repairs them. I do not wnat to buy a new controller.

what exactly happened prior to it getting stuck? just one day it started out at full speed with the pot on low? it was on high and you tried to turn it down and it wouldn't slow down?

I blew mine out of sheer stupidity and replaced it with a KBIC-125 which gives a higher speed and is more adjustable. haven't had any problems since.

I trimming a piece of steel and it stopped turning and the fault light came on. When I reset the fault it would come on in full speed. The fault switch does not stop it either.

I purchased a KBIC-125 yesterday. Should I be able to use the old potentiometer, on/off and reverse switches. I was hoping to swap boards and reconfigure the fault switch only.

you should be okay. I was in the middle of my conversion when I blew it so I wired it up to a relay and its under mach control, but I remember having a LOT of info in the manuals.

I blew my controller and bought KBIC-125.
How did you end up wiring it in?
Not sure about what to do with K0/K1 connection on old board.
