    Some CNC Sieg X3 Videos

    Hi Guys,

Here's a couple videos of my CNC converted Sieg X3 doing some work.

I wish more people would post videos as it's very useful for machine selection and figuring out the capability of various machines, especially if it's your first hobby machine.

Nice video- good work. One suggestion: Add a caption showing material, speeds, feeds, depth of cut and/or cut width, roughing clearance and depth of finishing pass, type of endmill, and maybe one pocket at regular speed with sound. Would help to demonstrate the X3's capability.

Thanks for the feedback Hans. I think you're right that I should add more comments on what's happening.

As for normal speed video for particular sections, that would be hard. With these, I took some normal speed video with a DSLR, then went to taking interval photos for the time lapse. I would have to keep switching back and forth to take normal speed video. But possible.

In the next video, I'm planning to take more photos to smooth the motion and attach the camera to the table so the spindle appears to move rather than the whole work piece.

CNC-ing an SX3 to make a full-size CNC router to make some speakers. Why do it simple?
